History of AIDS Resource Alliance
The agency was formed in 1988 by community members who were concerned about the plight of people dying from AIDS in Lycoming County. However, as more effective treatments have dramatically increased life expectancy of those infected with HIV, our agency’s mission has expanded to include linking clients with the resources they need to live with HIV or AIDS, and providing prevention, education and testing to at-risk populations. Our territory has also expanded from Lycoming County to Snyder, Union, Clinton, Centre and Potter Counties. As of December 2012, we have embarked on a new project called Connect to Care (CTC), which links people back to medical care. You can be a part of this program by contacting our agency at 1-800-773- 2437.
We serve Lycoming, Snyder, Union, Clinton, Centre and Potter Counties.
